Working for the Phelps Agencies has changed my life for the better. I finally work for a company that believes in growth and never holding anyone back! In just 3 1/2 short years ago, I started out as a benefits specialist. Then I moved up to supervisor, then to Agency Director, then to a REGIONAL AGENCY DIRECTOR!!!!
The income you make all depends on your OWN HARD WORK and dedication to helping people. I LOVE the fact that my boss doesn’t determine how much I should get paid or how much I’m worth, I GET TO DECIDE how much I want to get paid and how much I am worth.

Recently I took a risk leaving a six figure job to join the Phelps Agency in order to attain work/life balance. Instead of being on conference calls 12 hours a day I have the opportunity to meet wonderful small business owners and their employees and do something good by providing life insurance and supplemental benefits which so many people need right now.
In addition, thanks to the belief in me of the agency owner and support of my Agency Director and Supervising Agent, I was promoted to Supervising agent within a year. The support you get from this Agency is exceptional or I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t experience that support. I have been a part of The Phelps Agencies for about 2 years and have always enjoyed working with a great group of people. This is an organization reaches out to find and welcomes hard workers and achievers. When I was first told I could make a 6 figure income here if I do what I am trained to do that I was skeptical but I am so glad I became a part of this agency. I have really never said Thank you for believing in me and giving me this opportunity but and I want to say THANKS and to applaud this organization in the way they handled the recent Covid-19 Pandemic in Charlotte and surrounding cities. You are responsible for you – This is your own business so all the expenses are yours: car, laptop, printing and copying supplies, etc. Slow ramp to make money – There’s no way around it in this industry. Due to it being commission, there will be some time before your first sale. It is what it is. Be prepared for it, and budget accordingly.

First few months are tough, but if you stick with it pays off. You don’t get paid if you don’t work, makes sense. You have to be a people person, not afraid to go out and meet people
